(at around 27 mins) When Dr. Challis and Ellie arrive in Santa Mira, they drive by the glaring townspeople and make a u-turn near the church. Parked on the left side of the street are three cars. When Dr. Challis and Ellie stop on the next corner by the factory, there is only one car parked in the distance.
