In the beginning of the movie, a convict wearing a fedora hat (played by Earl Maddox), is plainly seen boarding the bus on the way to prison. Upon arriving at the prison, he is the first convict the exit the bus. He is not seen in the next scene when all of the other convicts enter the door to the prison, or in any other scene in the movie.
