When Dylan pushes the flammable canister into the Bow Thrusters to disable them, the explosion and shrapnel from this container would have impaled and/or severely burned or killed him from the explosion it created. He could have not survived his body being sucked into the tube and then live through fire and metal shrapnel being flung everywhere.
