Cinematic convention dictates that characters move consistently from one side of the screen to the other when embarked on a trip until they reach their destination. Clare and Billy arrive in Launceston, entering on the right side of the screen. Later, when they take the horse and flee, they head out of town on the right side, effectively retracing their steps. That night, when Clare pursues Billy back to town, she is riding from the left side of the screen to the right. When they flee town, they are heading to the right side of the screen. For consistency, Clare should have been moving from right to left when pursuing Billy.
