A reporter wonders if the Titanic is too big to be faster than the Lusitania, but Ismay reassures him that the Titanic will give the Lusitania a "run for her money". The Titanic and her sister ship Olympic were not designed for speed, only comfort, and were not capable of winning the Blue Riband. Also, although the Lusitania won the Blue Riband in 1907, it was quickly recaptured that same year by her sister ship Mauretania, which held the record until 1929.
