When Marty tries to start the DeLorean after it stalls out for the first time, the plutonium gauge beeps because the reactor is empty. The gauges are on the glove box but Marty looks straight towards the overhead control panel. There are no gauges on the overhead control panel but buttons and switches. Marty is looking in the wrong direction. He should be looking towards the dashboard to see the plutonium gauge.
