In the 41st minutes after Thomas is bludgeoned to death be having his head hit against the sink, the sink breaks and continues to drain bloodied water despite the taps being turned off. Obviously, water is being forced to flow up the drain. Also, even if the taps were still running, the water draining from the broken sink would become less and less bloodied rather than a consistent blood to water density.
