The angel's arrival is announced by a glaring light filling the staircase to the upper floor. Sophia ascends the stairs, disappearing into the bright light. The scene cuts to the upper floor's hallway, which suddenly is in pitch black darkness. Though previously filling the entire staircase, the bright light now only shines through the half open door at the end of the hallway, which Sophia opens just to be "swallowed" by the glaring light once again.
