After the tsunami devastates San Francisco, there are no bodies at all in the water and all the debris has mysteriously gravitated out of Ray and Emma's path, allowing them to speed through the aftermath without striking anything. Additionally, besides Ray and his family, only one boat picking up one small group of survivors has managed to escape the destruction.
