At the abandoned theme park, when the Joker picks up Sal Valestra and puts him into the ride car, Sal drops his suitcase outside of the car, and he does not pick it up again. It is also not seen below his feet in the car. The suitcase only reappears when he is carrying it, before he takes a seat at the House of the Future.
