After Lester threatens Stillwell's life, Stillwell manages to knock him unconscious. He drags him into the hallway and shoves him into a service closet. He then puts Lester's gun in his own closet and bolts his door. The next day he goes to the police to report the incident and gets no satisfaction. Any real person would have tied up Lester and called the police immediately after the fight with Lester and his finger-printed gun as evidence of what just happened.
