Near the end of the movie, When Jeff Daniels character has found the egg sac and is attempting to destroy it, He grabs a bottle of white wine (it wasn't wine, it was Cognac. Breaks it and splashes it on the sac, As to set it on fire. However, wine (Being around 10% to 13%) does not contain enough alcohol to ignite. In fact, It would actually make it harder to ignite then had he attempted to light it as it was.
