When Big and Little Enos are meeting Bandit at the the truck show, Big Enos says "How much does he get if he wins this truck rodeo?" He pronounces 'rodeo' as 'Ro-DAY-o'. While that is the correct Spanish pronunciation of the word, being a cowboy from Texas, Big Enos, like most every other Texan would've pronounced it the "southern" or "country" way which is 'Ro-DEE-o'. (According to Websters and other dictionaries, either pronunciation is acceptable but it is a matter of regional dialect. The 'Ro-DAY-o' pronunciation is mostly said by people from California. For example: The famed Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.)
