The instructor of a training flight realizes she is surrounded by Japanese fighter planes. When she tells her trainee that she is taking control of the plane, a Japanese plane is immediately to her left, close enough to see the pilots' faces. When she takes evasive action, there are no Japanese planes anywhere near her plane.
