The SUV that Syd is driving is severely damaged in front when it hits a car broadside at the intersection, then is significantly damaged in the rear when the other dozen or so cars pile up behind it. We then see a "fresh" SUV trying to plow its way out of the intersection with no damage at all except the driver side door missing.
