At the end when Marty and Jennifer are surveying the wreckage, the train crossing bells start, causing Marty and Jennifer to look around for what train triggered the bells, but this is actually an early hint that Doc Brown's Time Train is arriving. However, the crossing bells aren't magical or transcending time, before the Time Train's arrival there's nothing to trigger them and turn them on.
