In the Australian outback vignette at about 1:40:00, the man and his daughter Anna from Europe go go live with his brother and his wife and son Bobby. Then, while using "School of the Air" (distance learning via 2-way radios), the teacher asks "Linda" a question, and she says that her cousin Anna is a new student. Then the boy Bobby is holding the phone for Anna to introduce herself. Bobby and Anna are also seen in later scenes when he is hurt while balancing on a fence near their kangaroo joey.
