(at around 1.40.00) When Cowboy is watching Oddball's tank from the tower with his binoculars, the "binocular effect" is faulty: the upper line of the screen cuts into the binoculars. Therefore it doesn't look like he's seeing them through the binoculars, it looks like he's watching them on a movie screen through the binoculars.
