When the two guys are trying to talk the saloon crowd into hanging Stoddard the first one with the rope is thrown out into the street by Tom. He then turns back to the second guy who has his hand already on the gun in his holster but in the next shot his hand is off to the side of his gun when he tries to draw on him.
