The lady at LaGuardia told Kevin he is in New York should not have ignored Kevin when he whispers he is alone again (i.e.: "Yikes, I did it again!"). In fact, the lady should have asked Kevin where his family was, and she would have managed to alert the police in Miami and get him a plane there.
