As the American tanks advance line abreast across the field in the early battle, just after the quote "OK, start squirting that tree line, let's light 'em up, let's go!", the tank charge is shown with red tracers emitting from the guns, like lasers. Tracers are only visible from the rear (the firing position), and they do not become visible for a few hundred feet. They are never visible that close to the gun that fires them, or from a flank (side) view.
