Early in the film when Llewyn wakes up in Jim and Jean's apartment he asks Troy Nelson if he's ever met Elvis Presley. Troy says he's never met "Private Presley." This is an error since the film is set in 1961 and Presley was promoted to Sergent in September 1960.
