It is 8:30 p.m. when Vinay is with Shalu waiting to go to his night shift at the jewelers. After the goons snatch the ring from Shalu, Vinay goes to his father, the police commissioner to report the incident. At that point, it is clearly day time. Then it switches back to night time when he goes to the jewelry shop.
