The hangar on the Vengeance contains an enormous volume of air, and the port at the far end is very small. It is impossible that the crewman would have been blown out of the hangar because of the great deal of air between him and the port. The volume of air between him and the near end of the hangar would not have been sufficient to "blow" him down the length of the hangar and out the port. Instead, he would have endured a drop in air pressure and might have suffocated, though still having had plenty of time to shoot Scotty.
