When Sanborn helps James suit up in the protective gear prior to approaching the suicide bomber, Sanborn attaches the protective gear to the helmet on both sides of the neck. When James turns to meet the suicide bomber, it is clearly seen that the right side portion of the protective gear near the neck is not attached to the helmet, but in the next scene, it is attached.
