The chain-lock on Mr. Green's apartment door is installed backwards. It should be secured on the door-frame, allowing the end-lug to be latched onto the slide on the back of the door, making it impossible for someone in the hall to slide it loose. Instead, it's secured on the back of the door, with the end-lug slide attached to the door-frame, allowing someone in the hall to easily unlatch the end-lug once the door is open. No one installing that type of chain-lock would install it incorrectly like that.
