(at around 1h 35 mins) Miles tells the SWAT team he can't hold the detonator much longer, instead of evacuating one of them could've just held the detonator for him while the others could call in the bomb squad to dissemble and disable the bomb. However it is likely they assumed he would deliberately detonate the bomb if they tried.
