When Quint is speaking in front of the chalkboard, a faint outline of a different shark drawn on the board is just barely visible in some shots (may require adjustment of picture brightness and contrast on some screens). This suggests that the original image was deemed unsuitable, but wasn't fully wiped off the board before the "proper" one was drawn.
