When Ash insists that the people of the past honor their deal and send him back to his own time, neither he no anybody else considers that at this point, Ash's world cannot even exist in the future if the rise of the dead is not put down in the past. Ash has caused the rise of the dead in the past and thus altered the historical time-line.
