While it is true that hypopituitarism is a rare hormonal disorder, the film neglects to mention that treatment for the condition does exist, such as growth hormone injections for sufferers to grow at a normal rate. People with the condition are also required to take cortisone medications or else they die. Esther would need to be taking pills daily, or the injections weekly, just to survive.
