Dylan Rhodes reveals everything to Alma Dray in the last scene of the film. However his intention, after decades of preparation, was revenge on Thaddeus Bradley for the death of his father. By confessing all to Alma, he's ultimately freeing Thaddeus, since the American newspaper and her testimony combined with Dylan's disappearance from the FBI would be enough to free him.
