At the start of the film, Walker is attacked at his house by a group of armed men. Later in the film we learn that they had travelled back in time to assassinate him before he could become a threat to McComb. However, this makes no sense with the film's time travel rules, since changes to the past only occur after someone in the future decides to travel back. This means there should be no time-line where McComb's thugs travel back to assassinate Walker before Walker gets in McComb's way at the warehouse, even though this is his primary character motivation throughout the entire film.
