When they get out of the ballast tanks, Christian tells Maggie that he was a swimmer in high school and can get Connor through the submerged corridor/tunnel where Elena drowns. When they're moving on to the next part of the ship, Jennifer walks up to him and says he was never part of the swim team. Christian had only said he was a swimmer, he hadn't said anything about being part of a swim team.
