At the very end of the movie (late afternoon), they say they are going to go south to Mexico and they say, "Let's Ride." The next (and very last) shot of the movie shows them driving in the desert, but the shadows are pointing to the right, indicating they are going straight north. If they had been driving the next morning, this would be okay but there is no indication between these two shots that a night has passed. But immediately before this (ie the second last line), Val says that he has someone he needs to pick up. It's pretty clear he means Nina, who was last seen the previous day, (about 45 minutes ago in film duration) at Earl's Diner. The presence of a fifth rider in the final scene is the supposedly missing indication that a substantial amount of time has passed.
