January's power is that she temporarily borrows the power of the last person she has touched. Upon arriving at Eleanor's coronation, Tuma notices his power is gone because January has touched him, and she then uses his power against the others. After that, Edmond gives January a pin, touching her hand in the process, so she should have his power at that point and Tuma's power should be returned to him. Instead, January continues to make use of Tuma's power and Edmond retains his own.
