After Frederick Sykes returned to his apartment following Kimble's break-in and Gerard's investigation, Sykes is questioned if he's heard of the Kimble fugitive case to which he denies any knowledge of Kimble. He contradicts that statement almost immediately by admitting that the he was questioned by police only a year earlier on the Kimble case.
