During the opening credits, members of the US military can be seen behind consoles observing the satellite's progress and in a close shot, an Astrodata time display model 6200 shows some time data. The scenery then cuts to supposedly Russian military that also keep track of the satellite from aboard a ship, but not only are these scenes shot on board the USNS Wheeling - as is obvious from the ship's nameplate - but the same Astrodata time display model can be seen in a close shot, this time with all English markings concealed in Russian markings cut out very crudely from paper and two stickers that where already there in the first shot simply moved about.
