When the Lieutenant is having a seizure, it said by one of the soldiers to something in his mouth. Every soldier is trained in basic medical knowledge. Anyone who has basic knowledge of seizures or whose has dealt with someone having a seizures would know, its next to impossible to open someone's mouth while they're having a seizures. Due to their muscles are locked up during the event.
