Several times during the first fight with with John Smith, 47 puts him down but doesn't finish him off or incapacitate him. No agent would turn their back on a clearly dangerous foe, especially more than once. Since this is the only character 47 does this with it's clear that the production knew this too and it only happens because Smith has plot armour.
