Eggsy rips off the chain around his neck with his father's medallion. Shortly after he is wearing it again around his neck. Did he go to a jewelry store to have it fixed? Not likely.
Also, being an England-based film, he should not remove it in the American movie cliché way of ripping it off. An English gentleman would not remove it in this damaging way.
