Despite several male characters being of the age where marriage was common, if not expected, they remained unmarried during the run of the series. The Fonz, Chachi, Ralph Malph and Potsie Webber were all old enough to be married (and would have been expected to BE married during the 1950s/1960s) yet they remained unmarried during the run of the series.
