During the opening scene, Cynthia pulls up to her residence in her car and walks in the front door. She gets ambushed by some bad guys and during a fight she escapes out of her patio door. Without ever going up any stairs, she jumps from her patio on to some trees, but obviously from the third floor.The house is built on a hillside.
