Moments before Lucy meets Professor Norman in person (near the end of the film), they are having a telephone conversation. Norman (Morgan Freeman) has a long piece of dialogue. He is speaking about his associates, and says "(they are) top minds in their fields". The problem is he pronounces "minds" (meaning brains) like "mends". I have seen Mr. Freeman do this in other films (mispronounciations), especially when he is speaking a long piece of uninterrupted dialogue.
