When Chris first shows up to work at Living Robotics, Dana is there to greet him. No work has been done, other than Dana having collated financial files. In the next scene we see them sharing space for lunch; we can assume about 4 hours have passed. Finally we see Chris back in his work room, making his preparations to start working. This means that no work was done before lunch, despite Chris's claim the previous day that he would start working in the morning.
