In the final scenes, Barron discusses the fact that Abe was killed by a Hollowgast before he could get the location of Miss Peregrine's loop. Barron dying after that could not have brought Abe back to life, as it is not in a classical time paradox. However, what actually happens is that Jake uses a loop to go back to before Abe was killed.
