The mercenaries use FGM-148 Javelin missiles to shoot down the helicopters from the roof of the White House. Javelins are an anti-tank weapon and are not surface-to-air missiles capable of shooting down aircraft. They also have completely different flight profiles than those depicted, with a near vertical ascent after launch and a steep descent to their target.
