The congregation would't sing Luther's hymn 'A Mighty Fortress Is Our God' ('Ein' feste Burg ist unser Gott'/ 'Een vaste burcht is onze God') in the middle of the summer. Usually this hymn is sung on Reformation Day (October 31).
