When Karnes puts up the X-ray of the irradiated fish, the photo lab technician is behind him, over his left shoulder. When the angle changes to show Karnes looking directly at the X-ray, the lab technician is in front of him, holding up the X-ray. When the scene cuts back to the original angle, the lab tech is behind Karnes again and then moves in front of him to get a closer look at the X-ray. It appears that the scenes are out of order.
