Once Paul is convinced the relic is real he asks Jeff & Charlie to "Tell me about the big guy again" prompting Jeff to give a physical description of Star Spawn. Jeff & Charlie had already left the house when he arrived so the only knowledge they should have of him is his name from the comic.
