When Mirabel reaches the top of the stairs in Bruno's tower, she finds out there's a considerable gap she has to cross by swinging a rope in order to enter the Prophecies Room.
The gap is not visible from a bird's eye overview of the tower from a minute before. Instead, it looks like the room is accessible from at least two sets of stairs (on both sides of the rock walls) with no additional obstacles.
